In 1960 Red built a recording and started his own recording label. He soon started a publishing company which was registered with BMI.
For some time after that he did all the engineering maintenance for Reverend Guido.
Full time employment includes WBBT, WGSR, WWNS, WGML, WDAX, and WSB in Atlanta, Georgia.
from the 1960's into the early 1970's Red did untold free lance work for several recording studios. At that time his work experience included mono, two track, four track quad sound, eight track, and sixteen track recorders, and consoles. This was leading edge studio technology of the day, and of course predates today's 78 track digital setups.
Red since has worked in virtually every facet of commercial ad production and recording, including management. Red soon became a remote broadcast specialist, while working on many many tv specials.

For a 12 year period beginning in the late 1950's, throughout college and continuing throughout the 1960's, Red Wheeler worked in every facet of broadcasting. He worked all facits of radio from sweeping the floor to writing commercials, to on the air announcing, to performing the duties of a staff engineer.
In 1962 while still working in radio and going to college, he helped Johnny Johnson of ABC television's Lawerence Welk show, build the recording studios at the Guido Evangelistic Association in Metter Georgia.
During this time period Red worked at several radio stations full time, and several others part time.
